Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigating Deceased Person in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX - On March 19, 2019 at about 9:00pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Sawdust Road in Spring, Texas in reference to a Welfare Check. Upon arrival, Deputies found that the apartment was locked, but were able to observe a person laying on the floor through the patio doors. Deputies were able to make entry to the apartment and observed that the deceased male, identified as Justin Carter W/M 35 YOA, had an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The deceased was found alone in the locked apartment. A small firearm was found under his body, but no foul play appears to be involved at this time. This is an ongoing investigation, and an autopsy has been ordered by the Justice of the Peace.
