Intoxicated Mother Arrested After Repeatedly Assaulting Her Daughter in The Pappasito's Parking Lot

HOUSTON, TX -- On March 26, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's office responded to the Pappasito's Cantina located in the 15200 block of North Freeway in reference to a mother assaulting her 12 year old daughter. Upon deputies arriving, the mother, identified as Jessica Pimentel was detained and found to be intoxicated. She refused to answer any questions and was belligerent towards deputies.

Witnesses at the location stated that Jessica Pimentel threw her daughter onto the ground, drug her across the parking lot, struck her repeatedly with a closed fist and attempted to put her in a choke hold.

Constable Deputies contacted Child Protective Services and advised them of the facts of this case. The daughter was released to a guardian who arrived on scene.

'Jessica Pimentel was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Injury to a Child. Her bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 174th District Court.'- Constable Mark Herman
