Logan Leax, a senior at The John Cooper School, set the new single season home run mark for Dragon Baseball with seven. He now leads Texas private schools with seven home runs. Leax is a fall 2019 commit to George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

VARSITY GIRLS’ SOFTBALL

3/26 vs. Legacy Prep • 19–9 WIN

Olivia Amador led the charge at the plate as she drove in four on three hits–a double in the first, a double in the second, and a single in the third. The Dragons totaled nine hits, led by Amador and Alex Sims with multiple hits.

In the third, Sims doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs, Fleur Harper drew a walk, scoring one run, Meghan Cloninger singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Ally Flinn walked, scoring one run, Marion Donald singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two, and Amador singled on the first pitch at bat, scoring one.

On the mound, Flinn pitched nearly five innings. She allowed four hits and seven runs and struck out three.


3/28 vs. Martin Luther High School, Greendale, WI • 25-8 LOSS

Dragons collected 12 hits in this high-scoring game. Alex Sims, Ally Flinn, Liz Liner, and Olivia Amador each collected multiple hits for Dragons with Flinn and Sims leading with three each. A three-run fifth inning provided some pressure for the opponent, with singles by Finnie and Liner and a triple by Amador.



3/30 vs. Saint Mary’s Hall • 21–7 LOSS

The Dragons collected a total of 15 hits–Jenna Braun, Ally Flinn, Amera Finnie, Emily Hamer and Fleur Harper all had multiple hits. Flinn and Braun led with three hits each.

The Dragons tallied four runs in the fifth inning–Braun, Finnie, Hamer and Flinn each drove in runs during the inning.
