Tomorrow’s Classical Musicians to Perform A Concerto Concert

HOUSTON, TX - Virtuosi of Houston set to perform the season finale on Sunday,
May 5 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Zilkha Hall. The vibrant and accomplished
student orchestra is a local treasure, drawing talented young musicians from across the Houston
area, creating the next generation of professional classical musicians.

Under the direction of founding artistic directors Andrzej Grabiec and Franz Anton Krager the
gifted musicians ages 10-18 will perform a Concerto Concert featuring the First Prize Division
Winners Andrew Cliburn, clarinet, Emily Jihee Sonn, violin and Maren Tonino, oboe.

Virtuosi of Houston is a 501(c) 3 non-profit funded by grants, donations and corporate support.
Being a chamber orchestra, Virtuosi of Houston is smaller in size, ranging from 55 to 60
members who must audition annually for the opportunity to play. Virtuosi prides itself in
welcoming children of all socio-economic backgrounds. Students who need financial assistance
receive it. This Season the orchestra is comprised of 56 students from 33 different
schools.

Virtuosi’s concert is Sunday, May 5 at 8:00PM. Tickets are adults $20, seniors $15 and children
$10 and are available at www.thehobbycenter.org or by calling 713-315-2525.
