Weather and River Updates Montgomery County
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Flood Warning is in Effect for southeast Montgomery County until 1:30 PM.
Today we will have more rain and thunderstorms across the region. The National Weather Service’s storm prediction center has issued a slight Risk for severe storms for Montgomery County. Primary weather hazards associated with this line of thunderstorms will be tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail.
The current river observations for Peach Creek Near Splendora, Lake Creek -The Woodlands, West Fork of the San Jacinto, and East Fork of the San Jacinto near New Caney show that the rivers have crested and are now receding. This could change due to saturated grounds, elevated watersheds and the unpredictable chance of stalling.
Please be weather aware as you go through the week and pay close attention to National Weather Alerts watches and warnings.
