Society Of Samaritans To Host Annual Summer Snack Sacks Giveaway

MAGNOLIA, TX -- Society of Samaritans - SOS – will host its annual SUMMER SNACK SACKS
GIVEAWAY to children in Magnolia Independent School District who normally receive free breakfasts and lunches during the school year. 44 % of the students in MISD come from homes that are economically disadvantaged and experience food insecurity. The grocery sack contains breakfast and food items for 7 days.

Families can pick up these sacks once each week for 9 weeks of summer for each child in the family at our Feed My Sheep Food Pantry located at 31355 Friendship Drive in Magnolia between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning June 10.
“Our snack sack giveaway helps families during the financially more difficult time of the year of higher utility bills, additional child care expenses and not enough food for the children who are home each day during the summer,” shared Shirley Jensen, Board Member of SOS.
