This Rain Should Be Out of the Montgomery County Area By 7:00 PM
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Montgomery County received a break from the heavy rainfalls that were projected to hit early this morning. Showers and thunderstorms are still expected to develop this morning and continue through the afternoon and into the evening. The forecast timing for the development to hit our area is from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and should move out of the area between 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We can expect two to five inches of rain during that time, which will affect those hardest hit areas the most, but not to the point of widespread flooding as we experienced this past Tuesday. Watersheds and streets should be able to handle, as long as the system is fast moving.
Flash flood watch still in effect until 7PM CDT.
There is still a chance some of the heavy rainfall could remain along or just off the coast.
Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue to monitor weather conditions through the expiration of this weather incident.
