Montgomery County Sheriff Seeks Public's Help to Identify Thief

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On May 30, 2019 at about 4:30pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Walmart Supercenter located at 20310 US highway 59 New Caney, Texas in reference to Theft. Deputies were advised by a Walmart loss prevention officer that a suspect was observed intentionally swapping UPC bar-code stickers on merchandise of drastically different values. The suspect was then seen checking the items out through the self-check register, and exiting the store having paid a substantially lesser price on account of having swapped the UPC stickers.
