Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Arrest Two after Search Warrant

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On June 18, 2019, Investigators with the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET)were conducting a narcotics investigation at The Towers Woodland Apartment Complex located at 366 FM 1488 in Conroe, Texas. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained regarding the sales and distribution of illegal narcotics. As a result of the search warrant, about 50 grams of MDMA, 60 grams of cocaine, 60 THC infused vape pens, 13 grams of Hydrocodone, 4 grams of THC wax, 3.75 pounds of Marijuana, miscellaneous steroids, 1 shotgun, and $16,680.00 in US Currency were recovered. Two occupants of the apartment were arrested. Chase Cannon and Emily Salcido were both arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Money Laundering.

The MOCONET is a cooperative multi-agency task force which consists of law enforcement agencies from, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Offices, Texas Department of Public Safety-CID, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Walker County District Attorney’s Office, Customs and Border Protection-Houston Air and Marine Operations, and Homeland Security Investigations. Participating agencies recognized that a special collaborative effort was necessary to more effectively combat the drug distribution and collection of drug
proceeds throughout the area.
