MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Between June 25, 2019 and July 8, 2019, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, along with other area law enforcement agencies, will be deploying additional resources to actively look for intoxicated drivers. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office obtained a Texas Department a Transportation grant, which will assist in deploying additional law enforcement resources to target those who drive intoxicated. The District Attorney's Office is assisting in these efforts, as there are several No Refusal Operations planned during the Independence Day holiday. The District Attorney's Office will be providing nurses, prosecutors, and judges on stand by for the enforcement operation.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office wants our citizens and guests to have a safe Independence Day, and enjoy the time surrounding this holiday. Please remember, while out celebrating our country's independence, to be responsible. Do not drink and drive, arrive alive! Get a designated driver, use a car share service and arrive alive at your destination.
