THE WOODLANDS, TX – Summer time in The Woodlands always has something to offer! With the Fourth of July this Thursday, there's so much awesome things to do that you may not have time to sleep.

On Tuesday, July 2, grab the kids and head on over to The Woodlands Children's Museum. Magician Scott Hollingsworth will be in house to amaze the children with his magical powers. There are three show times: 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM. The cost of admission is $7.00 for adults and children ages 1 year and older. EVENT LINK

Do you have a patriotic sweet tooth? On Wednesday, July 3, learn how to make an amazing looking, patriotic drip cake at Over the Top Cake Supplies. Each student will use two to five inch cakes, buttercream, fondant and melting chocolate. This is a kid-friendly event, but you must register by July 1 (48 hours before the event). EVENT LINK

What is the Fourth of July without a parade? The Woodlands Township is proud to present The South Montgomery County Fourth of July Parade, which will begin at 9:00 AM and travel through the Market Street area. There's so much fun packed into this parade that it would be impossible to fit it all into this recommendation. Join over 20,000 of your fellow neighbors and enjoy the sights and sounds that this signature parade has to offer! Are you a student and need a babysitting job over the summer? The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing is offering babysitting training on July 6 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Participants will learn valuable babysitting skills, including handling emergencies and preventing accidents. This class is open to those 11 to 18 years of age. You'll need to bring a full-size doll and a sack lunch. Spots are filling fast. The cost for Members and Corporate Members is $65.00 and for Program Members, the cost is $80.00. EVENT LINK
