MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detective participated in a two (2) month undercover operation nicknamed “Operation Broken Heart”. This joint operation involved ICAC investigators from Montgomery, Harris and Fort Bend Counties, Homeland Security and the Department of Public Safety targeting online child predators. This joint investigation resulted in fifty one (51) arrests for child pornography and online solicitation of children.

Montgomery County ICAC Task Force accounted for half (1/2) of the fifty one (51) arrests during this operation with the Detective Serratt from Precinct 1 filing charges on ten (10) of the suspects.

Constable Philip Cash is proud of the Precinct 1 Detective, Jerry Serratt, and the other law enforcement officers who work diligently, in this field; “These officers are truly the unsung heroes, they devote countless hours to keeping our children safe”. People are reminded that every pornographic photo or video of a child, represents a victim. Once an image is uploaded onto the web, that image is there forever; and each time that image is viewed, that child is again victimized.

The Precinct 1 Constable’s Office has participated in the Montgomery County ICAC Task for the past six (6) years. This task force is operated in conjunction with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and over the course of the past six (6) years have arrested hundreds of individuals for child pornography and online solicitation of children. Through investigations like these, countless children have been removed from abusive situations in our county, state and nation. “I am proud that my Constable’s Office partners with the District Attorney, and other law enforcement agencies, in this noble purpose”, stated Constable Cash. “Individually we can only do so much, but partnering together and pooling our resources, law enforcement can accomplish so much more”.
