Montgomery County Precinct 1 responded to near drowning on Lake Conroe

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On August 1, 2019, at approximately 4:16pm, the Precinct 1 Constable's Marine division responded to a near drowning medical emergency call near the FM 1097 bridge on Lake Conroe. The occupants of a rented boat were pulling a towable float when one of the juvenile passengers fell off. The operator of the boat, jumped into the water, to assist the youth and became distressed. The operator was not wearing a personal floatation device. A nearby boater and the occupants of the boat were able to come to the aid of the distressed swimmer and pulled him into their boat. The swimmer was then transferred to the PCT 1 boat and brought to shore where he was transported by MCHD EMS to Conroe Regional in Critical Condition. At the time this press release he is still in ICU in stable condition. This near drowning is still under investigation by the Constables Office.
