MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On July 21, 2019, Grant Brown heroically, and without regard for his own safety, came to the assistance of 6 year old Mason Lindeman. Mason was being viciously attacked by a dog in the driveway of his home. Grant ran to his aid and was able to thwart the attack and was then himself attacked by the animal. Due to his brave and courageous act Mason escaped more serious injury or potential death.

Grant was recognized today by Conroe Mayor Toby Powell with a Proclamation proclaiming today as 'GRANT BROWN DAY' in the City of Conroe.

Grant was also presented a certificate of Valor and a challenge coin by Conroe Police Chief Jeff Christy.

Additionally, Grant was presented a $1500.00 check that was donated to him by the Glynn Smith Chevrolet dealership of Opelika, AL

Conroe Police Officer James Lindernan, Mason's father, was there to show his support and appreciation for Grant's bravery.
