The 3rd Annual ScaryDad Horror Convention Brings More than the Dead to Life

HOUSTON, TX - ScaryDad Con does more than kick off Houston’s 2019 Halloween season, it also gives a jolt of electricity to Houston’s more frightening creative community. The convention not only has exhibitors, cosplayers, a costume contest and DIY workshops on turning your house into a haunt, it also features professional Houston-based writers and filmmakers giving panels and workshops on how to write and sell your horror novels or film and distribute horror movies. This year, ScaryDad con has assembled dozens of the finest artists, authors, filmmakers, cosplayers, haunters, fabricators and vendors, many locally based. Also, new this year are discussion panels and interactive demonstrations with top-notch programming teaching everything from DIY haunting, makeup, prosthetics, writing, publishing, scriptwriting, improv, podcasting, and more. There will be costume contests, door prizes, make-and-take workshops, book signings, games, photo ops, and lots of spooky clowns, goblins, and ghouls to keep you entertained!
