MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - After voters rejected the previous CISD bond back in May, a new version of the CISD bond will be on the November ballot.

The May bond carried an $807 million price tag, but failed to be approved by voters due to the fear of a tax rate increase. The new November bond carries with it a price tag of over $677 million and will have two propositions.

Prop A, totaling $653.57 million, will include the following:

• $315.8 million for new campuses and additions.
• $239.2 million for campus renovations.
• $44.5 million for safety and security projects.
• $25 million for needs of district support services.
• $29 million for land and contingency.

Prop B will only include one item:

• $23.8 million for artificial turf at the District's high schools.

Conroe ISD states that there will be no tax rate increase if approved by voters.

Whether you're for or against the new proposal, make sure to make your voices heard on Election Day, November 5. The last day to register to vote is on Monday, October 7. Early voting begins on Monday, October 21 and will end on Friday, November 1.
