Accidental Raw Sewage Discharged Near Jacobs Reserve and Carriage Hills

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Due to an accidental point source raw sewage release by MUD lift station for Jacobs Reserve over two days, please use the Jones State Forest’s Sweetleaf Nature Trail and Rice Branch Creek from Carriage Hills Blvd through the state forest, FM 1488 to San Jacinto River
with awareness. As a precaution, please be advised of the water quality. Clean-up started today and TCEQ and Montgomery Co Health were notified. This creek feeds into several downstream lakes and empties into San Jacinto River.

As of 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 11th the raw sewage sludge was unofficially detected passing under FM 1488 through Jones State Forest.
