The Grand Hanukkah Celebration and Menorah Lighting in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Happy Hanukkah Woodlands! The Grand Hanukkah Celebration and Menorah Lighting sponsored by Chabad of The Woodlands took place last night, Dec. 22, in Market Street Central Park.

Hundreds of attendees enjoyed moving, authentic Jewish music performed by Yoel Sharabi, who flew in from Israel. There was traditional Hanukkah delights latke and jelly donuts to savor, and dreidels, menorahs, and yarmulkes available for purchase.

Rabbi Mendel Blecher led the audience in a Hebrew prayer, and the Chabad Children’s Choir sang in beautiful harmony. Bruce Rieser, vice chairman of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, then lit the 9-foot tall Menorah.

The Menorah has since been moved to Chabad of The Woodlands, located at 25823 Budde Rd, where they will continue to light it each night of Hanukkah.
