THE WOODLANDS, TX -- A list of 20 things to do in 2020 in The Woodlands, Texas.

1. Attend Taste of the Town Jan 16 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. It’s a paradise for foodies looking to fulfill their cravings and sample local area cuisine all in one night!

2. Check out The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. You can purchase agricultural and artisan goods, as well as prepared foods. Profits from the market are returned to the community through the Grogan's Mill Village Association's philanthropic programs.

3. Enjoy an evening of music in one of The Woodlands' premiere parks. There are three venues to choose from: Concerts in the Park at Northshore Park, Waterway Nights at Waterway Square, or Rock the Row at Hughes Landing.

4. See a show at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Their 2020 lineup includes top artists, such as Chicago, Lady Antebellum, and Maroon 5.

5. Take a workout class at The Woodlands Family YMCA, located at Shadowbend or Branch Crossing. They offer body pump, zumba, yoga, and more!

6. Give back - Volunteer at CHI St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital.

7. Eat breakfast at Dosey Doe Breakfast & BBQ, voted Best Breakfast in The Woodlands 2019!

8. Attend The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival April 4 and 5 along the scenic banks of The Waterway and in Town Green Park. Enjoy live music on four different stages while leisurely browsing the wonderful selection of fine art.

9. Rent a single kayak, tandem kayak, paddle board, or swan boat from Riva Row Boat House!

10. Participate in one (or all!) of the three Signature Races in The Woodlands, including, Woodforest Bank TRI April 4, Muddy Trails Bash May 2, and Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas Oct 10.

11. Take a ride on The Woodlands Town Center Trolley. Employees, residents and visitors can park once and hop aboard the free trolley to popular retail, entertainment, and office locations.

12. Climb to new heights at Texas TreeVentures, a challenge by choice aerial adventure course located on the campus of the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park.

13. Support a local business – shop at NewLotusMoon in Grogan's Mill Village Center. Find unique items ranging from apparel, home décor, jewelry, and other Fair Trade goods from around the world.

14. Take a course at Lone Star College - Montgomery. Whether it’s that creative writing class you’ve wanted to take for as long as you can remember, or a business course to give you an edge at work, 2020 is the year to take action.

15. Rent some skates at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center. Enjoy the 21,000-square-foot permanent multipurpose facility that features ice-skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, and tables for parties and concessions.

16. Create delicious treats at an Over the Top Cake Supplies’ decorating and baking class! Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced cake master, their classes offer a fun night out with friends and an opportunity to develop your skills.

17. Show your support for Ironman Texas participants April 25. The swim begins at North Shore Park and the run concludes with a spectacular finish on Waterway Ave.

18. Visit the Glade Arts Foundation Museum, The Woodlands' first museum for contemporary art, film and visual culture in its widest sense.

19. Revered by most as the event of the year, Wine and Food week is June 1 through June 7 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. Considered the largest, most comprehensive epicurean and wine adventure from Aspen to New Orleans, it features wine and culinary tastemakers from Houston and across the globe.

20. Breathe in the fresh air - hike or bike through George Mitchell Nature Preserve. The park currently includes: a 2 mile main hiking trail loop, 3 miles of bike trails, natural surface sustainable tracks, and lake paths.
