Mohammad O. Khalil, M.D. joins Houston Methodist Cancer Center at The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Houston Methodist Cancer Center at The Woodlands welcomes Mohammad O. Khalil, MD, hematologist and medical oncologist, to its comprehensive cancer team.
Originally from Amman, Jordan, Khalil attended medical school at The University of Jordan in Amman.
His experience includes serving as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Department of Medicine, Chief of Hematology & Oncology Section at the Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System and Site Director of the fellowship training program.
Khalil is certified by The American Board of Hematology, The American Board of Medical Oncology and The American Board of Internal Medicine.
His clinical expertise includes diagnosis and treatment of cancers and blood disorders; and he takes a patient-centered approach to practicing medicine.
“I believe in involving patients in active discussion about treatment options in order to arrive at decisions that meet their goals and values,” said Khalil.
Khalil chose to specialize in cancer related treatments because it is a constantly evolving field with many advances leading to increased success in the fight against cancer.
“I strive to provide evidence based care to my patients while honoring their values and preferences in a shared decision making environment,” said Khalil.
Outside of work, Khalil stays active with hobbies and other interests including cycling, hiking and photography.
