CONROE, TX -- Multi-County Crime Stoppers has partnered with Texas Top Cop Shop (Conroe) and KSTAR radio for a brand new program in 2020 called BACK THE BLUE. This program urges the public to recognize a Law Enforcement officer when he or she goes beyond the normal call of duty and does something extraordinary as part of their service to the public. We ask anyone that would like to commend a Deputy or an Officer to click over to the Multi-County Crime Stoppers website and find the Commend an Officer tab. [https://www.multicountycrimestoppers.org/]

From there you can tell your story about how you feel you were provided service beyond the normal scope of that officer’s duties. Tell us about the time one of our local men or women in blue went out of their way to be helpful, risked their personal safety for yours, or did something to earn your respect or admiration. We will then take the nominations that come in each month and pick four recipients that have stood out from among their peers to be recognized on the KSTAR radio and earn a $50 gift certificate from Texas Top Cop Shop.

We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our first recipient of the BACK THE BLUE award: Lieutenant Leslee Zemlicka with the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office. Lt. Zemlicka was nominated for her hard work and dedication to all of the students and staff of Willis ISD, where she serves as the Director of Campus Security for approximately 7,800 students and 1,000 faculty and staff members.

Thank you Lieutenant Zemlicka for your commitment to provide a safe environment where the students know they can be safe while they relax, grow and learn.
