HOUSTON, TX – Lone Star College-Tomball has teamed up with Harris County Precinct 4 to provide support for a COVID-19 testing site in Tomball.

“Lone Star College-Tomball strives to be a good neighbor in our community,” said Lee Ann Nutt, Ed.D., LSC-Tomball president. “We are pleased to be able to provide assistance for Harris County Precinct 4.”

The exact address of the site will be provided to those who successfully complete their registration but will otherwise remain undisclosed to discourage unregistered visitors. The testing site is expected to handle as many as 100 tests per day, with that number increasing daily. Testing is not conducted inside LSC facilities.

Those interested should visit www.CheckForCorona.com/Harris-County to determine whether they should be tested for COVID-19. Those deemed to be at risk for coronavirus will be given a code and phone number to call. After a telephone consultation, those still deemed to be at risk will be given another unique code and information on where and when they are to be tested. Those assigned for testing should bring a photo ID and any other information requested by the phone screener. Walk-ins will not be tested.

In addition to LSC-Tomball providing support to Harris County Precinct 4, LSC-Kingwood recently loaned eight ventilators to local area hospitals in an effort to help combat the coronavirus. The LSC-Kingwood Respiratory Care program which uses these ventilators to train students also donated five nebulizers and 75 personal protective equipment kits.
