We Must Stand With Small Businesses

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Did you know that Texas is #1 for Paycheck Protection Program loans approved so far?

Since the program was created by the CARES Act;

- 88,434 small businesses in Texas have had loans approved
- Over $21 billion dollars allocated
- 70% of loans were for less than $150,000

The program is a lifeline for small businesses in our communities – but funds for this program could run out by the end of this week. Our small businesses employ more than half of America’s workers, and they need our support now more than ever.

That’s why I’m fighting for more funding for the Paycheck Protection Program. But my Democrat colleagues in Congress want to hold small businesses hostage, and are blocking President Trumps request for more funding. Now is not the time to play games – politics can wait, our small businesses can’t.
