THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Throughout The Woodlands, signs of hope, strength and community can be found, whether in children’s chalk drawings on sidewalks and pathways, the lights of a heart on The Woodlands Towers at The Waterway or the groups that show up in hospital parking lots during the shift changes to sing songs of praise and gratitude.

To further the sentiments, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors and Community Relations team has created “Township Together” as a way to share positive approaches to handling this world-wide pandemic.

“We hear so much negative news that I really would like an avenue for our residents to submit their creative thoughts to The Woodlands Township,” said Township Director John Anthony Brown at the Board of Directors Videoconference call on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Director Brown received approval from fellow Directors and thus “Township Together” was created to help promote the artistic talents of The Woodlands residents.

The Woodlands Township would like to call on residents to share any images of inspiration with the community. These can be a photo of something seen in the neighborhood, a family project or anything with a positive message. These will be shared through the Township email updates, social media channels and on The Woodlands Township website.

Residents interested in sharing can do so on social media at www.facebook.com/thewoodlandstownship or by sending an email to townshiptogether@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov

“Everyone in the country is eager to get back to a normal, happy spring, and until then these signs of hope can help the community with a positive outlook,” said Director Brown. “Until then, we would like to see how our residents are creatively handling this.”
