Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of Southeast Texas

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of Southeast Texas. A strong upper level storm system will move across the Southern Plains today. This feature will trigger strong thunderstorms, capable of producing strong thunderstorms, capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes.

The tornado threat will occur from Noon to 5PM beginning in the west-northwest and ending in the east-northeast.

These counties include: Burleson, Brazos, Madison, Houston, Washington, Grimes, Walker, Trinity, Austin, Waller, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Polk counties.
