Suspected Drunk Driver Arrested After Striking A Vehicle At A Red Light That Then Crashed Into A Constable Deputy

SPRING, TX -- On May 27, 2020, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office was traveling south in the 20300 block of Holzwarth Road and entered through the intersection of the 1700 block of Louetta Road on a green signal light. The suspect was traveling west in the 1700 block of Louetta Road and failed to control the speed of his vehicle and struck another vehicle that was stopped at a red signal light.

The impact caused the vehicle to be pushed into the intersection and strike the Constable Deputy's marked patrol vehicle. The deputy and the other driver received minor injuries.

The suspect driver was identified as Cregory Jackson and displayed several signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was discovered that he was driving while intoxicated. A blood sample was obtained.

'Cregory Jackson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 8.' - Constable Mark Herman
