THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As retailers nationwide come to grips with defining the new normal for a safe shopping experience, both Warby Parker and J. Crew have selected their Market Street locations as the pilot stores in their portfolio to re-open to guests.

If the Market Street locations are successful, both retailers will take what they have learned and adapt similar measures in their other locations, according to Market Street Marketing Director Noemi Gonzalez.

Warby Parker, an eyewear purveyor, is paying careful attention to social distancing with one-on-one guided shopping; providing contactless shopping features such as touch-free measurements and check-out along with virtual try-on options; daily health and temperature checks as well as customer screenings prior to shopping. Masks are required by all team members and shoppers and enhanced sanitization efforts are in place, such as thorough surface and frame cleanings between customers.

J. Crew is requesting that all customers wear a mask and are monitoring in-store traffic so that no more than 10 customers are inside the store at one time to meet the 25% store capacity. Fitting rooms are not open, but guests are able to return and exchange items at the store. Guests are also asked to comply with social distancing recommendations and remain at least 6 feet away from other shoppers.

“As we are now open to approximately 80% capacity, Market Street stands ready to get back to the business of offering our guests in-person shopping and dining experiences,” said Gonzalez.

Market Street is working diligently with our housekeeping department to maximize cleanliness and to provide additional disinfecting measures using recommended CDC cleaning supplies as needed throughout the property. In addition, sanitizing stations have been placed in the park area, mews and office lobbies. Due to the high demand of product, these will be available while supplies last and until additional shipments arrive.

Market Street is encouraging tenants and customers to do the same to reduce illness and the spread of this virus. At this time, we are asking all to take the following responsibilities upon themselves as recommended by CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
