Cristobal has weakened into a tropical depression

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Cristobal has weakened into a tropical depression as it remains over land. Cristobal is expected to begin to move northward toward the center of the Gulf late Friday. Although the track forecast remains consistent for a landfall Sunday night somewhere along the Louisiana coast, there is still uncertainty due to U.S. landfall being 3 to 4 days out. Northern Gulf Coast residents should continue to monitor closely for the possibility of impacts late in the weekend and into early next week.
