Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for June 4, 2020

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, is saddened to confirm the county’s 27th death related to COVID-19. A woman in her 60s, from Spring, died while in the hospital. We offer our deepest condolences to her family at this time.

We can also confirm the number of ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 has decreased to 450 today. That number includes 22 hospitalizations. 576 people have fully recovered. The number of total positive cases has increased 20 since yesterday to 1,053. The MCHD/MCPHD COVID-19 Call Center is open for residents needing COVID-19 testing through our voucher program, or for general questions, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Please call 936-523-5040. Beginning Monday, June 8th, the Call Center hours will change to Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm.

Just a reminder, one of our partners in the voucher program, America’s ER, will move its drive-thru testing site beginning Friday to its standing ER location on FM 2978 at Research Forest in Magnolia. Starting tomorrow, you must make an appointment at this site before obtaining a test. For the remainder of today, you can still obtain a test at WoodsEdge Church after calling the Call Center to obtain a voucher. For more information, call 936-523-5040.
