The Alden Bridge Pool in The Woodlands Closed Temporarily due to COVID-19 Exposure

THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Township has closed the Alden Bridge Pool temporarily due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The pool will be closed today, Wednesday, June 17, 2020, for cleaning and disinfecting and to provide proper notification to all who may have been in contact with the employee.

The pool re-opening will be announced later, pending the completion of safety and sanitization procedures.

The employee worked shifts from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Township staff members undergo daily temperature screenings upon reporting to work along with being asked a variety of questions regarding possible coronavirus exposure. The employee who tested positive was screened on June 16, 2020, and did not present with an elevated temperature.

The Woodlands Township is working diligently to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors to Township pools, parks and amenities.

“We are doing everything possible to ensure employees’ and the public’s safety,” said Dr. Chris Nunes, Township Director of Parks and Recreation.
