Governor Abbott Appoints Brooks As District Attorney For 50th Judicial District

AUSTIN, TX -- Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Hunter Brooks as District Attorney for the 50th Judicial District in Baylor, Cottle, King and Knox Counties for a term set to expire December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Hunter Brooks of Seymour is currently an Assistant District Attorney in the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Brooks received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
