The Woodlands Fire Department Responds to Multiple Weather-Related Calls

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Yesterday’s morning and early afternoon storms kept area crews busy responding to lightning strikes and fire alarms. Of note, just after 1200 TWFD assisted South County Fire with a lightning strike in the 31000 Blk of Majestic Park Ln where crews extinguished a fire that had started in the attic and spread to an interior wall. And at 1:45pm crews responded to Tulip Hill where a lightning strike blew out an exterior window and an interior wall. There were no injuries at either event but it is a good reminder of the danger of our area’s frequent thunderstorms. More storms are expected today and the rest of the week. Please be weather aware.
