Houston Ministry’s Virtual Fundraiser Features Judge Lincoln Goodwin and Cameo Appearance from Olympic Medalist Simone Biles

HOUSTON, TX - WINGS Ministries: Freedom Through Transformation will hold their 3rd Annual “Hope and a Future” Fundraiser on September 29. WINGS teaches work and life skills to women who are incarcerated, coming out of incarceration, or in residential recovery for drug and alcohol addictions. This year’s fundraiser will be a virtual experience, featuring a message from Judge Lincoln Goodwin, Harris County Precinct 4, Place 1 followed by an appearance by Olympian Simone Biles. The event will stream on Tuesday, September 29th at 9:00am and again at 7:00pm, and is free for anyone to attend and learn more about WINGS. About WINGS Ministries: WINGS was founded in October 2012 at the Harris County Jail as a work and life skills program offered to offenders in Harris County rehabilitation programs, at Plane State Jail and Santa Maria Hostel BAMBI, WHO and Jacquelyn House programs. In 2018, WINGS Ministries was awarded the Houston Junior League Community Assistance Grant and was also one of four finalists for the One Hundred Shares Houston Grant. In 2019, WINGS Ministries received the Health Services Division Volunteer Service Award by the Texas Governor. WINGS Ministries partners with Santa Maria Hostel, HOPE Haven, Fallbrook Church, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, WoodsEdge Community Church and Champion Forest Baptist Church.
