UPDATE: Baby Kinslee is home! She was released from the hospital a few weeks ago and is doing well at home. Her mother and father were beyond excited to ring the bell at Kinslee's hospital in Austin, signifying their new journey.

Original Story:
AUSTIN, TX - During these trying times, it's wonderful to see the strength in others. It motivates us to do better and be better. In this case, the strength belongs to Kinslee, the relative of one of Woodlands Online's very own.

Kinslee was born very early, at 24 weeks and 4 days old, while weighing only one pound and four ounces. Her mother, Tiffany, was admitted to the hospital with preeclampsia, resulting in Kinslee's early arrival.

As of an October 3, 2020 update, Kinslee continues to progress very well, weighing 3.1 pounds. With Kinslee's parents returning to work soon, they will have to take turns visiting Kinslee in the NICU.

Kinslee is expected to be in the NICU until around Christmas, when she'll finally be able to go home.

Extended NICU stays come at a cost, which is why Kinslee's family and friends set up a Go Fund Me account, which can be found here.
