Montgomery County Sheriff's Arrest Male for Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On September 2, 2020, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received reported allegations of sexual abuse of a child, the production of child pornography and the possession of child pornography, regarding William Earl Harris (WM 37 years of age). The alleged victims in this case were young girls ranging in ages from 8 to 11 years old. Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victim’s
Unit, were assigned this case and quickly learned that William appeared to be attempting to flee the state to avoid the investigation and prosecution. Detectives secured an arrest warrant, and worked together with Special Agents with the FBI, and Deputy US Marshals to locate and apprehend William.

William was arrested in Eugene, Oregon and extradited back to Texas on September 24, 2020. As a result of the continued investigation Detectives have identified additional victims of Williams for a total of five. Due to evidence in this case Detectives believe there could be additional victims.
