THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At 06:43am on 11/10, a Woodlands Firefighter and Cypress Creek Paramedic arriving to Station 8 for work witnessed a wreck directly in front of the fire station. They immediately began to render aid and alert the personnel in the station of the incident. Since shift change was underway, both Truck 108 and Medic 516 had two crews on-hand, eleven personnel, who immediately responded to assess the situation. It was determined that one driver was unconscious and entrapped in the wreckage. Crews immediately went to work to disentangle the occupant while also assessing the other driver who was injured less severely. Additional resources were called from Montgomery County Hospital District, The Woodlands Fire Department, Cypress Creek EMS, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Public Safety. The occupants were quickly removed and loaded into separate ambulances and transported to the hospital. The roadway remained closed for about an hour during the accident investigation.
