House Explosion in Tomball - Suspected Suicide

TOMBALL, TX -- As fire fighters sifted through the rubble of last nights explosion and fire, they discovered the body of what appears to be an adult male. As of now, this is believed to be the only casualty.

Investigators (police, fire, and coroner) have been working through the night on what preliminary appears a suicide involving the intentional ignition of the blast using a combination of flammable liquid and natural gas. This investigation is ongoing, and the deceased has not yet been positively identified.

Public Works utilities crews have conducted an inspection and determined that our natural gas system is in good working order, and there is no danger to the public.
