The Woodlands Fire Department respond to reported house fire in the Village of Sterling Ridge

THE WOODLANDS, TX --Just before 5am this morning The Woodlands Fire Department responded to S. Vershire Circle in the Village of Sterling Ridge on a reported house fire. First arriving units reported smoke throughout the home and that all the occupants had exited safely. Firefighters quickly located a large smoldering trash can in the garage that was the source of the smoke. Firefighters extinguished the fire and removed the smoke from the home. Fire Damage was confined to two trash cans and an interior garage wall. Fire cause was improperly discarded fireworks inside the plastic can. TWFD was assisted by Magnolia Fire Department and Montgomery County Hospital District.
