THE WOODLANDS, TX -- 1.365M Customers are without power

ERCOT has ordered reduced loads requiring rolling outages. The Woodlands had several areas our for over 40 hours. We have made Centerpoint aware of those areas and we are working to make sure our residents are restored. Some areas can back up yesterday and are already part of the rolling outages. The rolling outages are likely to continue for the next two days.

Centerpoint does not generate their own power. They rely on TX Market Place. The TX Market Place is generating less than 50% of their normal capacity. Numerous issues impacting generating power.

All energy companies are requesting those who do have power to reduce their energy consumption. The less you use the more they can spread the limited power around.
Weather is still playing a role in the outages and last nights ice storm is being evaluated.
Centerpoints tacking Map lags 30 minutes to an hour.
We are working to open a warming center at Rob Fleming Rec Center. Will post when that is open.

Centerpoint uses digital meters and know when you are out. That doesn't always work so if you see power all around you there is likely a local transmission problem they need to send a crew to fix. Re-Report your outage if this happens.
