The Woodlands Township moves February 18, 2021 Board meetings to online format

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Based on icy roads, The Woodlands Township has moved its regularly-scheduled Board Meeting for Thursday, February 18, 2021 to an online format.

'We still have perilous weather forecast ahead,' said Township Chairman Gordy Bunch. 'While we really want to meet in person, we've opted to close our buildings to conserve energy for our residents. Additionally, with temperatures expected below freezing through Friday afternoon, we encourage people to stay off the roadways unless in emergency situations or to get to work.'

Some forecasts are showing temperatures dropping into the high teens again on Thursday night after a full day of rain on Wednesday.

The posted agenda on the Township’s website has been amended in response to the Winter Storm Uri and Winter Storm Viola emergencies, and includes instructions and phone numbers for the public to call in for public comment. Public Comment occurs near the beginning of the meeting. Those wishing to provide public comment should call in promptly at 6 p.m.
