Places of worship that may be able to help:

Hindu Temple of the Woodlands -
“Dear devotees,
As the damage from the winter storm continues, HTW is setting up a task force to help our devotees in need. If a family is without power and water, we can provide blankets and match up people with host families that have water and power. Our temple is open to providing shelter for a family in need.
Please reach out to us for any help. Contact the temple manager Lalitha Koduru at 832-585-0001 to help us co-ordinate resources for you.
Thanks
HTW EC Committee”

WoodsEdge Community Church -
“Our WoodsEdge chaplains are available to care for any spiritual needs that you might have. We know that there are a lot of practical needs in our community during this unprecedented weather event (email disastersupport@woodsedge.org if you need assistance), and we also want to care for you spiritually during this time as well. If you are in need of spiritual support, our chaplains would love to connect with you, pray for you, and provide encouragement in this time. There are multiple ways that you can connect with a chaplain, whether in person, over the phone, or on Zoom. You can email chaplains@woodsedge.org to make a request.”

Grace Woodlands -
“There are many right now without power and water, and we need to pray.
Please join us in praying for those affected, and if your home was affected please know we are praying for you. If you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here for you. You can reach the church office by emailing Josh - jpierce@gracewoodlands.com”

• Friendly tip from Friends of Texas Wildlife: “Birds in particular need high protein food to help maintain their body temperature. You can spread some peanut butter (make sure no artificial sweeteners!) on a log or even on some toast or stale bread. Put out as is or sprinkle it with bird seed. Oats are also appreciated.” If you find a critter in need, email them at ftwl.help@gmail.com and they will get back as soon as they can, as they are dealing with burst pipes and the like at their intake center.
