SUGAR LAND, TX - Memorial Hermann still has a number of spots open for their COVID-19 drive-thru vaccine clinic this coming Sunday and Monday at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land.

• Clinic at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land taking place from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, March 14 and Monday, March 15. We plan to vaccinate approximately 10,000 individuals over the two days.

• This is event is specifically dedicated to teachers, as well as to those who work in school and/or childcare operations as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

DHHS defines those who work in school and/or childcare operations as: Teachers for pre primary, primary or secondary schools (including Head Start and Early Head Start programs); Staff at pre-primary, primary or secondary schools (including Head Start and Early Head Start programs); Bus drivers for a pre-primary, primary or secondary schools (including Head Start and Early Head Start programs); and Staff at licensed childcare providers.

• Those eligible to receive a vaccine at this event can sign up using this link. The link has also been shared on our website and social media channels.

• Each person who registers will be asked to confirm their eligibility for vaccination at the Drive-Thru Clinic. Once confirmed, they will receive an email with a personalized scheduling link to set up their appointment to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Their second dose will be automatically scheduled for them and will take place at another drive-thru clinic, same location, on either Saturday, April 10 or Sunday, April 11.

Vaccine supply is limited and appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis until the available appointments are full.

Individuals who do not have an appointment confirmation and a photo ID that matches the name and date of birth on the appointment confirmation will not be vaccinated.
Once the event is full, there are still other ways teachers and school/childcare staff can sign up to receive vaccination from Memorial Hermann.

Earlier this week, Memorial Hermann announced the launch of a digital COVID-19 Vaccination Request Form.

Eligible members of the community can now use this online tool to register for the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine from Memorial Hermann, including individuals in the state’s Phase 1A and 1B priority groups, as well as to those who work in school and/or childcare operations.

Once the online request form has been completed, individuals will be placed on a waitlist for future appointments at Memorial Hermann’s vaccination clinics.

Memorial Hermann will make appointments available based on vaccine supply and will prioritize vaccine distribution in accordance with guidance from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
