MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On April 13, 2021 and April 14, 2021, Members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit completed an operation regarding Human Trafficking and “Buyers of Illicit Sex” in the central Montgomery County area. As a result of that operation, 26 adult men were arrested and charged with Prostitution after agreeing to pay for sex from Undercover Officers, with an additional arrest for promotion of prostitution. Three of the 27 suspects received additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, one suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana, and another was found to have an outstanding warrant for Unlawful Carry of a Handgun. All arrestees were placed in the Montgomery County Jail. A warrant is pending for a 28th individual for prostitution and controlled substance charges.

The Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance is a multi-agency taskforce comprised of Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement from our region with a common mission to rescue victims of human trafficking and to stop people from engaging in activities that promote human trafficking. This alliance sends a clear message that we are not going to tolerate this type of activity in our community in hopes that we will deter the demand, and rescue those who have been forced into trafficking.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit, Montgomery County District
Attorney’s Office, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Houston Police Department,
Shenandoah Police Department, and other members of the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance,
participated in this operation.
