THE WOODLANDS, TX - Cellar Twenty Four, a locally-owned and operated neighborhood wine shop and tasting bar in The Woodlands, raised $2,400 to benefit the patients served by the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic during a recent wine tasting event.

Army Veteran Janet Dollins, who works at the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic as a secretary and patient advocate, said, “We are so grateful for the funds contributed to our veterans by this fundraiser by Cellar 24. Because of the fabulous generosity of Shelli and her guests and vendors, we can help so many veterans with their needs. These funds were used for Kroger and Walmart gift cards in denominations of $25 and $50 to help our veterans with various needs such as gas, groceries, and clothing basics. Many of our veterans are older and on a fixed income, so these contributions much appreciated as they mean a lot and go a long way.”

Shelli Moran, the owner of Cellar 24, added, “We are very pleased to have had a great turnout of guests and vineyard partners who helped up raise funds for our local veterans served by the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic. This is one of many examples of ways that Cellar 24 has supported and honored our veterans, which is integral to our core values.”

Partnering distributors for the wine tasting fundraising event included Chameleon Wine Distributors, Medallion Global, Misa Imports, Republic National Distributing Co., Serendipity Wines, Vino Vero, and Vintage Select Wines.

Cellar 24 has also hosted fundraising events that have supported veteran organizations and endeavors such as the Memorial Monument, the Lone Star Veterans Association, as well as several local non-profits including the Montgomery County Women’s Center and Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch.

Featuring an intimate yet casual ambiance, Cellar Twenty Four is located in the Sterling Ridge Shopping Center, near the northwest corner of Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl, to the left of the Kroger Signature Store.

Specializing in high-quality, smaller production wines from around the globe, Cellar Twenty Four offers tastings with winemakers and boutique winery owners, wines by the glass, private tastings, classes, a monthly wine club, and craft beers.

Their menu of light, small bites includes charcuterie boards, mini beef wellingtons, Caprese bruschetta, and scratch-made pizzas, along with tacos on “Taco Tuesdays” from 6-9 pm. Live music entertainment is featured on most Friday & Saturday evenings (check www.cellar-24.com for details).

Moran continued, “Since our opening seven years ago, Cellar 24 has been known as a popular neighborhood hang-out. Folks stop by after a long day at work, come by before or after dinner for a glass of wine and a nibble, and host special occasions here. Thankfully, we’ve endured during the pandemic.
