THE WOODLANDS, TX — Formed in Memphis in 1967, THE BOX TOPS delighted fans with their return to the music scene in 2015, following a brief hiatus in 2010. The group now consists of original members Gary Talley and Bill Cunningham, as well as talented additions Rick Levy, Ron Krasinski, and Mike Stewart.

Best know for singles “The Letter” and “Cry Like a Baby”, this Grammy-nominated American rock band will perform at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn Aug. 28 at 8:30 p.m.

“The term blue eyed soul has been used to describe us,” Talley said, with the leading influence of their sound coming directly from Memphis blues and R&B artists. “Everything we do on our show has got some kind of connection to Memphis,” he noted.

Guests will enjoy incredible live music played within the wooden walls of Dosey Doe. They’ll also learn more about the Memphis music scene and history of the famous city.

“We’re really happy to be back playing before a live audience,” Talley said. “We’re really looking forward to it!”
