THE WOODLANDS, TX -- “We are ALL EARS!” Since opening their doors in 2014, All Ears! Listening & Language Center has been teaching children born with hearing disabilities, from mild hearing loss to profound deafness, to listen and speak through the LSL program. The program, operating out of The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church for the last 7 years, is providing much-needed services to families with children with hearing disabilities. In fact, All Ears is the only LSL program of its kind in Montgomery County.

The program focuses on teaching children ages birth to elementary school age to listen and speak, while integrating them into mainstream preschool along with their peers, with the goal of transitioning them into mainstream kindergarten. All Ears works directly with the Early Learning Program at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, which provides a language-rich environment for the hearing-impaired children of All Ears. Through fundraising events and grants, All Ears is able to provide scholarships to the program for families that need assistance. Starting up the 2021 school year, All Ears is at its highest enrollment to date. Over the last year, an expansion project has been proposed and recently, approved, by the All Ears Board of Directors. Due to the growth of the program, All Ears has brought on two new teacher’s assistants, Ms. Andrea Catalan-Gomez and Ms. Molly Buckelew.

In preparation for the expansion project, All Ears welcomes Jessica Kemp, D.C. as the organization’s new Director of Development. Jessica comes to All Ears with extensive development experience, passion and a heart for non-profit work. Prior to coming onboard, Jessica was the Director of The Will Herndon Research Fund. “The growth of our program demonstrates our community’s urgent need for services for families with children who have hearing loss. Our program is specialized to meet each child’s needs optimizing the critical time for spoken language development from birth to 2.5-3 years old. The addition of Andrea and Molly to our teaching staff, allows us to serve more families,” states All Ears Executive Director, Lee Rech. “Bringing Jessica and her successful Development background on board enables us to build upon our fundraising events while Jessica simultaneously leads our capital campaign for expansion.”

The organization will host their Sporting Clays Tournament 2021 for the 7th year on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 9 am at Blackwood Gun Club. Teams and sponsorship opportunities are available. Additional tournament information can be found on the All Ears website.
