THE WOODLANDS, TX -- October 1, 2021, began Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the community were able to show support to the survivors and fighters of this life-threatening disease. Throughout October, Sheriff Rand Henderson and Sheriff's Office employees proudly showed their love and support by wearing pink badges and newly designed T-Shirts. Every employee wearing a pink badge or T-shirt purchased them and dedicated them to a family member, a loved one, or friend who has battled or is currently battling breast cancer.

This year, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office selected Canopy - The Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands as the recipient of the donations. Fully Promoted Branding Products & Marketing Services was also a partner in designing and providing the T-shirts to Sheriff’s Office employees. This year, through the T-shirt sales to our staff and support of Fully Promoted, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office presented a check for $1,886.04 to Canopy, where the donations will be used for support services, education, and integrative medical services for all those impacted by cancer in Montgomery County and beyond.

Sheriff Rand Henderson stated, “For some of our employees, the fight against breast cancer is personal. Whether it has attacked them personally, their mother, grandmother, or another close family member or friend, we wanted them and our community to know that we support The Pink! The most heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in bringing awareness to this great cause.”
