THE WOODLANDS, TX -- A global pandemic causes changes in how we go to school, interact, socialize and along with that hold fundraisers that used to be in person only.

Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum (CWJF) quickly shifted course to accommodate this change. Known for volunteering, CWJF, immediately adopted social distancing and mask rules to continue serving our community. CWJF was used to supporting 22 different programs with 147 active members. Unfortunately, seniors and those under 18 or those with special needs did not stop needing help and support during the Covid pandemic. During a normal year, CWJF members typically log over 4,000 service hours.

As a nonprofit, CWJF, relies on donations to continue operating. A once-a-year gala, or fundraiser with live and silent auction has always funded the budget. How does one raise money when we can’t come together and socialize? Go virtual!

MASKerade will take place February 5, 2022, from 7pm – 8:30pm. Instead of the usual formal gowns and tuxedos, one may attend this event in the comfort of his or her own home, and comfy clothes are welcome! Enjoy on your own or host a small party and watch as a group. The virtual format makes it so easy to attend from anywhere (that has access to internet!).

Johnny Bravo Holloway, of Johnny Bravo Entertainment, made the switch to virtual gala’s as soon as he saw how long social distancing would be needed. He knew it was more important than ever to build and support community. The event is live streamed and hosted by auctioneer Johnny Bravo. All registered attendees will enjoy the opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items.

The public is invited to register and attend. Simply visit the CWJF website and register. It’s free and the auction items are not to be missed!

Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum is an organization of women dedicated to providing volunteer services, leadership and philanthropy to enrich the communities in North Harris and South Montgomery Counties.
