THE WOODLANDS, TX – So, today we’re experiencing a significant amount of cloud cover and some wetness and high winds to boot. Fortunately, winds should drop and clouds should dry just in time for you to get home in preparation for the weekend. The bad news is, our high in the 70s will be a happy memory with tonight’s low of below-freezing. The good news is, tonight should be the last time in a long while that we’ll have to wrap our pipes and drip our faucets.

A wacky week of wet and dry weather with consistent highs

Saturday is expected to have some beautiful weather; sunny skies and a high in the brisk 50s, with another low in the 30s (but not quite freezing level). The morning high winds will settle down in the mid afternoon, so if you’ve been hankering for some outside time, Saturday evening is made just for you.

Sunday will see a return of some clouds as the temperature creeps up into the mid 60s. Again, another day designed for outdoor fun. But overnight the story changes. From our low of 50 that will stay pretty consistent overnight, as the sun rises on Monday (but hard to see because of the increasing cloud cover), so do the chances of isolated thunderstorms.

Another thing that Monday will bring with it is something that has yet to happen in 2022: An entire week with the high temperatures of each day being in the 70s.

The chances of rain spike Monday night and then waft away during the sleeping hours. Tuesday and Wednesday will make you think you’re in mild summertime, with sunny skies, highs in the 70s, and lows in the 40s. Wednesday will be a little more free from the winds as the day before, but grab your kites and head to the park both days, just to be sure.

Thursday and Friday will see a return of clouds and some winds, as the skies flirt with the possibility of dumping some more rain. However, wet or dry, we can look forward to the entire weekend keeping the high temperatures in the balmy 70s.

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online.
