Sweet Tooth Alert…….Candy in the House

THE WOODLANDS, TX — We have previously chronicled the story about an amazing and locally owned confectionary called The Candy House, a Woodlands landmark that sugar-craved kids and sweet-minded families have flocked to for more than 30 years. Located at 27160 Glen Loch Drive, The Candy House has been a hangout for the neighborhood to find everything from saltwater taffy and chocolate fudge to gourmet popcorn and hard-to-find sweets. 

We were delighted to highlight the legacy of the establishment’s previous owner, Don Baker. Don started The Candy House more than three decades ago and became a fixture in the community, as well as a beloved friend to countless families in The Woodlands. Sadly, Don passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 89. While his passing was a tragic loss to the community, his shop had succeeded in making the neighborhood a better place. It was a very sweet legacy about an even sweeter man.  

Some were wondering what would happen to The Candy House since Don’s passing. To the joy of sweet teeth everywhere, The Candy House continues serving The Woodlands though the vision and community-focused efforts of five new owners. 

The Candy House was purchased on Sept 1, 2021 by Wanda Graham, Kristen and Reed Watson, and Courtney and Danny Moore. We stopped by The Candy House this week to taste some of their new candies and check out their other delectable goodies. We weren’t disappointed.

We spoke with Wanda and Kristen to get the lowdown on what’s new at The Candy House. The following are just a few of the great things you will see when you visit their store. 

* 9 Different Flavors of Gourmet Popcorn - cheddar, cheddar buffalo breath (this one has a slight kick to it), pizza flavor, white cheddar, white cheddar bacon, creamy dill, caramel, caramel and almond drizzle, churro, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churro (yes, you read that right). 

* 7 Different Flavors of Fudge
* Truffles 
* Easter candies, chocolates and plushies
* Expanded taffy section with over 30 flavors of taffy
* Specialty candy that includes Harry Potter themed candy, sweet and sour pickle flavored lollipops, birthday cake marshmallow 
* For the adults, they have an assortment of liquor infused chocolates and a line of Jack Daniels flavored pecans including whiskey praline and Tennessee honey pecans. 
* A large assortment of Jones Soda

If you are in need of a sweet fix, drop by The Candy House. They have a vast assortment of some of the sweetest products you will find anywhere in The Woodlands.
